All those eligible to attend graduation will start to receive invitations to the graduation ceremonies towards the end of 2025. While you may have completed your assessments, invitations will only be sent out once your award has been approved and ratified by the exam boards.  

We strongly advise you to not book any travel or accommodation until you have received your invitation and completed the registration process.

Key points to remember when you get your invitation:

• Book your tickets online.
• Book your official gown (and photography, if you wish) – you must have a gown to graduate
• The general invitation letter should not be used to support your Visa application, as we may be asked by the authorities about your visa application and your booking
• If you need a Visa support letter, you can request this from us through the online ticket booking system when you receive an invitation from us.
• Visa support letters are sent out only when we receive full payment for tickets
• Check that names of guests for Visa support letters are correct when making the request. 
• The University can only issue Visa support letters and answer enquiries from official agencies about the event – we are not able to intervene in individual cases
• The graduation ceremony may be webcast, and photographs will be taken on the day
• We assume that all students grant permission for the University and associated bodies to webcast the event and to use photographs taken on the day in publications and social media unless we are informed in writing prior to the event.
